Admission to the class is competitive, and is based upon cover letters and resumes submitted to, and a personal interview with a committee representing faculty and alumni. All students enrolled in this course must have engineering standing as well as senior standing. The course carries one hour of credit and is graded pass/fail.

Students are invited to submit a cover letter and resume by Monday, November 3, 2014. The chairs of academic departments also nominate student candidates for the class. Cover letters and resumes should be submitted electronically to Robyn Morefield  ( If you submit your information by email, please put “leadership application” in the subject line. Applicant interviews will be held November 14, 2014, and will be arranged after an initial review of cover letters and resumes.
